Campaign timing is controlled by a few separate settings. Use this guide to choose the outreach channels, connection-request wait, follow-up cadence, sending mode, and send window for a campaign.

Timing and automation settings apply only to the campaign you are editing. They do not change other campaigns in the Project.

1. Configure the campaign sequence

From your Project, open Campaigns, select the campaign, and open Template. Configure the campaign type, initial message, and follow-ups, then preview and publish your changes.

Messaging and timing changes do not apply to new sends until they are published.

Choose a campaign type

At the top of Template, choose one of the three campaign-type buttons:

Campaign type How outreach works
LinkedIn + Email Starts with LinkedIn and can move to email if the connection or reply wait expires
LinkedIn only Uses LinkedIn without an email fallback. Unresponsive contacts finish after the configured threshold.
Email only Skips LinkedIn and runs the email sequence

Changing the campaign type may require confirmation because it can affect people who are already in outreach. To move directly between LinkedIn only and Email only, switch to LinkedIn + Email first.

Set the connection request wait

For campaigns that use LinkedIn, choose how long Distill should wait for a connection request to be accepted. New campaigns default to 4 days, and the minimum available wait is 2 days.

The connection request wait applies before a request is accepted. It is separate from the LinkedIn silence threshold used after a LinkedIn message has been sent.
